Silver/Copper Nanoparticle-Modified Polymer Chitosan/PVA Blend Fibers

In this study, chitosan (CS)/poly(vinyl alcohol) (PVA) (CS/PVA) blend nanofibers with varying weight ratios and silver (Ag)/copper (Cu)/CS/PVA composite fibers have been prepared successfully by the electrospinning process. The tip-to-collector distance was kept at 15 cm, applied voltage varied from to 25 kV. effects of on morphology diameter were investigated. resultant characterized using scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transmission (TEM), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), X-ray diffraction (XRD), thermogravimetric analysis (TGA). SEM results showed that increasing amount in CS/PVA resulted a decrease fiber 162 89 nm while an increase kV led diameters. Furthermore, indicated 161 257 observed morphological changes also upon Ag/Cu addition. latter are perceived be result increased conductivity higher charge density.
